Synopsis
My Year Without Him
I didn’t know what it was going to feel like until…it happened. He left. Again. Off to another war zone while I stayed home and worked. I don’t like to talk about the emotions because they were so complicated, yet so real. I must admit, I was a little angry at him for leaving, but still self-confident, and a bit sad because I really didn’t know when I would see him again…it was unexplainable. With courage, I would bear this year on my own and come to appreciate the true resilience of our family. My name is Mica, this is my story.

Military wife: Exciting? Adventurous? Difficult? This book has given me a new perspective about what it takes.
A.S.
This book was on point, honest and an excellent example of demands placed on each member of a military family. As a military spouse myself, it brought back memories, which made me cry at times, laugh at times, be angry at times! But through it all this book helped me to appreciate the resilience we have when we put our trust and faith in God. This is also an excellent read for families who are geographically separated for whatever reason. This is truly a book where love prevails.
